OUR STORY

The Clay Studio Collective began in 2023 by an enthusiastic group of potters to keep the legacy of the ceramic arts thriving in our community. We built a fully-functioning pottery studio in Athens, Ontario, to share ideas, resources and offer support and outreach opportunities with others who also love clay.

In June of that same year, St Lawrence College Brockville and Friends of Pottery made a generous donation of ceramic equipment to our studio, which included 8 wheels, 1 electric kiln and a slab roller.

After an overwhelming amount of additional support from our founding members, students, local businesses, and community members, we raised enough funds to finish our renovations.
We officially opened to the public on November 5, 2023, offering full studio access to members and hosting classes!

We are very fortunate to share our studio with Krista Cameron Pottery who provides on-site pottery classes.
